Boys get involved in Geocaching Treasure Hide Challenge . . .
Boys and leaders in the Juniors went out to Grovelands Park on Monday 11th July to hide 6 Geocache boxes in the park. The boys had to hide Geocaching boxes as part of a nationwide Geocaching Treasure Hunt. Using a GPS device they then had to  record the longitude and latitude of each box as well as come up with a clue (being as creative as possible!). This information has then been passed on to be used by Magellan (the organiser of the Treasure Hide Challenge) for  their Geocaching Treasure Hunt over the summer. BB Companies all over the UK are also getting involved by hiding the Geocaching boxes in local woods with thousands being hidden! The boys really enjoyed getting out and about and learning something about Geocaching, including introducing them to how to use a GPS device. By taking part the Company has the chance of winning some fantastic prizes which include GPS Navigation and Satellite Navigation devices.

On the Friday evening boys joined in with table games as they arrived and once they were all there they enjoyed a supper of hot dog and chips and then saw a DVD of Night at the Museum 2 before going to bed and settling down to sleep (eventually).
On Saturday morning the boys went to the Aquasplash fun pool in Hemel Hempstead where they had great fun on the various flumes and rapids rides. After lunch they were taken by minibus to Phasels Wood activity centre where some climbed the revolving wall while others shot air rifles and then some climbed a solid wall while others climbed up stacks of crates. Back at Felden there were some challenge type games involving water to varying degrees and as the weather had improved greatly this cooled the boys down, but just to make sure, once the games had been cleared the boys engaged in a full scale water fight. After a barbecue tea the boys dried off and changed for the evening activity which was a quiz.
On Sunday morning it was back to Phasels Wood where everyone enjoyed the cresta run, then some boys went on the zip wire while others tried archery. This gave the boys an appetite so on their return to Felden they enjoyed a full Sunday dinner after which there was just time for a group photograph before boys and staff went their various ways home.
All in all a great weekend with great weather which the boys enjoyed. Thanks to all the staff involved with the weekend but especially to Chris Norman for all the cooking and Philip Norman for organizing the weekend and booking the activities.

The Annual Display took place this year in the church on 24th May in the presence of an audience of parents and church members. The various cups and trophies were presented, including a new one, the James Norman memorial trophy, which went to Christian. There was a royal theme to the event, with a game where teams of Girls and Boys had to lay a table under the direction of a “Prince William” and a “Kate”, which was judged by the “Queen”. The Anchor Boys marched like soldiers as Kevin Norman played the part of Humpty Dumpty falling off the wall. A giant Cube was erected, for a series of challenges for the Company Section boys, and the girls showed some of their handiwork from their recent Astronomy badgework. After a presentation of a DVD showing the boys’ activities over the last year the final item was a challenge between staff members of the BB and GB, mainly disgusting like Jackie and Kevin extracting balls from bowlfuls of spaghetti with their feet and Philip and Caroline competing to see who could eat three doughnuts faster (Caroline enlisted help with that).
