18 miles, 2 days, 3 teams and 12 young people… our weekend in the Essex countryside taking part in Waltham Walk 2026 π
Starting out early on Saturday our 3 Mini-Trek Teams headed out to Essex, setting off and walking 11 miles through 6 checkpoints, before arriving at the campsite to setup tents βΊ and cook dinner π₯© get some much need rest π€ before an early rise at 5.30am, cooking breakfast π³ and taking down tents, before heading off around a further 4 checkpoints and 7 miles to the finish π
Along the way having lots of fun taking on incidents at each checkpoint which included Kayaking πΆ Axe Throwing πͺ Water Relay π¦ Zig-Zag Challenge γ°οΈ πΊοΈ Map Challenge as well as other games and challenges πͺ
Well done to all 3 teams who did so well π with final results as follows:

π₯3rd Place – B Team (Logan, Luka, Freddie, Neo)
π 8th Palace – C Team (Charlotte, Maddie, Niaya, Grace)
π― Our B Team also won the ‘Graham Farnfield Staff’ for the highest incident points π
A great weekend… and now all back home for a well deserved rest!
